The Thirty Year's War changed power structures between interest groups in Europe. Three hundred and nine years later The Treaty of Paris in 1957 resurrected an idea of European Unity. And thirty years of living peacefully in the United States has clearly changed me because I am shy around expressing an opinion on the coming referendum in the United Kingdom about whether the United Kingdom should remain in the European Union.
And I get a little pissed off when anyone from the United Kingdom expresses any
kind of an opinion on the current political excitements here in the United
States. It makes no sense, it's foolish to the point of being idiotic, but I
can't help it. It's the kind of thing that creeps up on a person, catches
them unawares, and it's something to be very wary of because it's not good for
our world. So here goes. Leicester City's win was an inspiring anomaly but The
UK should remain in the EU.
